We lived in Canaan, NY on beautiful Queechy Lake for almost ten years.
Our former neighbor's home was built on the shores of Queechy Lake over 200 years ago. At the end of the last century, it was know as Sunshine Farm and was run as a hotel/summer resort. Our former home, the Cottage at Sunshine Farm, was built about 100 years ago as exclusive guest accommodations. Room numbers remain above the doors of the third floor/attic rooms. Along with our dock on the lake, we have developed a hiking trail through our 4 1/2 acres of woods.
